While I was away from the online world..

I...

discovered that no matter what I do or wear on a night out I still end up looking like a hooker. Hence the decision to embrace it with leopard, lace, and red lipstick 

got a proper internet connection back at home again (lol)

started my drama and performance paper for this semester

was mystery shopped at work and got a whooping 97%

scored myself a pair of original docs in black for cheap and a free grunge as coke shirt from an opshop

worked with some amazing artists like Kimbra, The Black Seeds, Mt Eden, Ruby Frost, and Vandalism. Yes, I was behind the scenes through it all! Bonus points: I was with some pretty amazing people including my bestfriend!

was so exhausted that I fell asleep while eating a pie. Woke up at around 2 am, took another bite out of the pie, and went back to sleep. End result? Waking up disoriented with a half eaten pie in my bed

lost a friend unexpectedly. RIP Pieter. Until we meet again.

officially started writing for Nexus Magazine

also started writing again in general

realised I’ve been doing my radio show for 5 months now

finally grew some lady balls and told a certain guy how I felt about him via the only way I can articulate my thoughts and feelings

Going on a roadtrip for the day with the bestie. I am hoping this will be the big push to creativity and more inspiration. I want to do more but it's just not coming to me lately. Let's change that today, shall we?

Some kind of wonderful

Today was some kind of wonderful. Woke up to beautiful sunshine that not even my hungover self can stop me from enjoying. The past few days have been grey and blah so today was a welcome change (I hate winter). Sitting out in the sun with Oyster and Frankie magazine while enjoying a cup of coffee from one of my happy places? Absolute bliss. My polka dot pants which I got from a local opshop that was part of a fill a bag for $2 deal also seemed like a good idea to wear to match my mood. Bits and pieces of my Friday as told by Instagram.

I also have a bit of confession to make.. Bangarang by Skrillex makes me ridiculously happy. Is it wrong to admit that? Last night I literally shrieked and went crazy when it was played in a club (Shot Bones and Bevan). Even better when I got a shoutout dedicating the song to me. You know it's a good night when you're all yuck and sweaty. Unfortunately, photos from last night has me looking like a tragic psycho rapist. Not the look I was going for.

Life according to photobooth

Just some photobooth snaps taken lately. With a full on Uni schedule, a demanding part-time job, WTCK, personal life, and a radio show to do, sometimes I feel like it's all too much to handle. But then I am reminded of how lucky I am to be doing what I am doing, and it also helps that I have awesome people in my life to keep me sane.

The last photo is of me and my good friend Joe. We had dinner and went for a stroll at night before heading over to the second Zeal acoustic show (more on that soon). It was a much needed catch up indeed.

I am currently on a little holiday for some rest and relaxation, but I can't wait to share what I've been up to during my blogging absence (hint: a bit of 90s hangover).

and they still feel all so wasted on myself.

I had to fight off cobwebs to get to this blog. Lol. I have been so slack with keeping up with my life lately. I've been doing a lot of dreaming instead of doing and now I feel like I've reached a dead end. I guess it's because most of the time I feel like my dreams are too big, too unachievable, that all I can do is well.. dream.

But I want my blogging life back. Because when I said this was my forever fling, I did mean the word forever. So hello blog. I'll try harder this time. 

Red Hair Day

I got mah huuur did today! I know the whole dip dye look is so 2010 but this is coming from a girl who wore her hair in the same style for 7 years!! This is definitely a big deal for me. Virgin hair no more! Thank you to the amazing Christie. You are the only one I trust with my hair now!

Second photo is of me and little miss Lilli. This is one of the coolest kids I've ever met. When your mum's a DJ and a record label owner, you are bound to be cool. She loves hard house and dance music and hangs out with djs in her free time. And she's only 7. She's the sweetest little girl as well and I just love her to bits. She's my cookie monster.

The lady in the last photo with me is Mandy of Fevah FM. She's pretty much the boss when it comes to everything! I always love Wednesdays because that means I get to spend time with her too. Last weekend was a crazy one for us followed by a repeat on Tuesday night!
